Katrina George began her training at the Queensland Ballet School in Brisbane and completed her Advanced RAD with honours. She was then accepted into the Australian Ballet School and studied under renowned teachers such as Kelvin Coe, Timothy Gordon, Leigh Rowles and Lucinda Sharp. After graduation, Katrina was accepted into the Queensland Ballet under the Artistic Direction of Harold Collins. During her time in the company Katrina performed and and toured in various productions and worked with local choreographers including Natalie Weir and Gideon Obersanek.
Since her early retirement from ballet due to surgery, Katrina's career studied Arts Management and Communications at University and has been working in the Arts and Entertainment industry in roles such as producer at South Bank Corporation and Project Officer with Ausdance Queensland. Having also practiced yoga for 12 years, Katrina qualified as a Purna yoga teacher and Radiant Child Yoga Teacher in 2008 and has been teaching adult and children's yoga since. Katrina has also been a freelance ballet teacher in various ballet schools throughout Brisbane for the past ten years. Alongside her administrative career, Katrina has maintained her love and passion for dance and hopes to share her experience and knowledge with her students and help them to enjoy their journey in dance.
